Seven-Day Cycle

"God finished the work he has done, and he rested on the seventh day from all his work that he had done" (genesis 2:2) The seven-day cycle is at the heart of this collection. While most watches mainly present a daily cycle this series wishes to reframe our perception of time by focusing on a weekly cycle. The rest day watch features a new way of visualizing the weekdays on the dial. Instead of a single window revealing the traditional names of weekdays, I skeletonized all weekdays on the dial as numeric values (first day, second day and so on) and the seventh day as a rest day. Each day will be highlighted in turn. The watch owner may personalize his week according to his faith or preferences, simply by choosing any day of the week as his "rest day”.
