Since 2005 Itay Noy has been teaching in the Jewelry and Fashion Department of the Bezalel Academy of Arts and Design in Jerusalem. As part of the timepieces design course that Itay runs, the students learn about the history of timepieces, the design and production of wristwatches, and how to incorporate time concepts and design values in their work. At the end of the course each student produces a series of unique, one-off handmade watches that demonstrate a high level of design and execution, as well as originality.

In 2006 Itay curated a group exhibition at Talin’s Gallery in Tel Aviv for selected students participating in his watchmaking course at Bezalel. (See below 12 watches presented at the exhibition)

In addition to the major course that Itay Noy runs in Bezalel’s Jewelry and Fashion Department, he also runs short courses and workshops, and gives lectures on timepieces at other art and design schools, such as Shenkar College of Engineering and Design, Penland Scool of Craft and the Bituy College.

In 2008 Itay Noy was invited to teach a summer course at the Penland School of Crafts in North Carolina. Over two very intensive weeks Itay ran a wristwatch design workshop for graduate jewelry designers and watchmakers, at the end of which each student produced two watches.
